Technical DetailsThis is Not a Love Story, has as it's underlying technical support base, the MAX object oriented authoring environment. MAX patches control both the sensor input (though an I-cube) and the "stitching together" of the forty eight audio fragments that make up the interactive sound track. Through the MAX patches, these fragments are faded in and out of each other and layered upon each other. Also included are quasi random events that, along with an inherent instability within the system, avoids the problem of an overly predictable cause and effect relationship between the viewer and the interactive system.
