Notes From a Fish out of Water is a series of works that are the results of a investigations carried out whilst artist in residence in the village of Koppelo in Finish Lapland.

 

  

    

Notes From a Fish out of Water Is a predominately wall mounted work, that investigates shifts in emotional state and personal relationships over time, as well as the an investigation of isolation and the remote site. An integral part of the work also contains a fluid audio element in the form of a stereo "soundtrack" that is re-edited and formatted for each exhibition of the work. The works have been exhibited in a variety of formats in several galleries in Australia and Finland.

The Alexandrian library may have preserved its books, without substantial loss, for up to 600 years. We should not be too confident that we will preserve our own literature for anything like as long.
